Eljuri attracts and unites communities through the power of live music, to inspire and empower people to recognize and use their voice. You have the right to vote, you have the right to express yourself at your kitchen table, a church coffee hour, a school parents’ night, a community board meeting, and in a national election. Communities are built on the perspectives of individuals. Your individual voice is your power.

With national elections in more than 60 countries representing half of the world’s population in 2024, voting is certainly an example of how to amplify your voice. Because of the upcoming 2024 US presidential election, engaging with Latinos in particular, and partnering with HeadCount.org (HeadCount.org/es) and SpreadTheVote.org at the concerts will foster a sense of community making voting a collective experience and encouraging audience members to take action together.

The Eljuri trio will reach diverse multi-generational people through live performances of Eljuri’s bilingual songs; people who are new to this country, who are underrepresented, who feel marginalized, and whose voices have traditionally been silenced due to racism, sexism, ageism, and classism. And, of course, allies who help others to stand up for themselves.

This live concert and workshop series focuses on helping audience members find and use their voice towards positive change in their lives.

Contributions for the charitable purposes of the Eljuri Concerts for Democracy: Amplifying Voices for Social Change / Conciertos por la democracia: Amplificando las voces para el cambio social must be made payable to “Fractured Atlas” only and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Every eligible contribution will be acknowledged with a tax receipt.
